Destiny’s Christmas Blessing 2k19

“I’m Just A College Student Who Cares”

My name is Destiny Anderson and I am a Junior, majoring in Social Work at The University of Central Florida. I currently work in a special department at The Office of Student Financial Assistance on campus. As a part of my job, I often read stories about different students requesting additional aid who have lost their loved ones. Unfortunately, not every request is approved. As we gather around our family and friends for the holiday season, we must think of those college students who do not have anyone. This Christmas, I will be giving back to collegiate students whose parent or parents are deceased, through a monetary gift towards expenses, as well as care packages to students. This is just a simple gift to remind distressed students, “they are not alone!” I desire to bless as many college students as possible affected by the loss of their loved ones. I have partnered with the UCF Section of The National Council of Negro Women, The UCF Nupes, and The Experience Christian Church and together we will help college students in need of extra help this Christmas.
